Ralph Gilles is a major fan of the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
He's also FCA's Global Head of Design, and the lead designer for the new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan. The two would seem to be at odds, until Gilles reconciled his interests into one stunning Pacifica Hellcat concept.
The sketch, drawn in crayon on what looks like a restaurant placemat (lead designer, or fussy toddler?), shows the van decked out with giant wheels, low-profile tires, and a prominent hood scoop.
He uploaded the picture to his personal Instagram page on Wednesday, and immediately received a flood of comments ranging from snarky, "this is what happens when you let your engineers run wild," to enthusiastic urges of, "This needs to be a thing!" and, "Do it do it."
Will they do it?
FCA has already confirmed, and have been spied testing, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Due for market by 2017, the Trackhawk has the power of a 707-horsepower Hellcat V8 engine under the hood, and is rumored to hit 60mph in about four seconds.
Perhaps the Pacifica will be next.
